Amanda Freitag, a New Jersey native, is a celebrated chef, author, and TV personality. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, she worked in top NYC kitchens like Vong, Verbena, and Il Buco. She co-opened Cesca in 2003, later served as executive chef at The Harrison, and revitalized Manhattan’s Empire Diner in 2014, making her a standout in the NYC dining scene.

Beyond restaurants, Amanda is best known as a longtime judge on Food Network’s Chopped. Her cookbook, The Chef Next Door, and her popular series EasyAF showcase her mission to make cooking approachable. Today, she continues to inspire with her signature blend of culinary expertise and infectious energy, bringing people together through food.
